WHO'S INVITED?   CADXA Members and their guests

IS IT A REGULAR MEETING? No – it's a social event.

Our annual BBQ is a friendly, informal get-together for members and guests to mingle, catch-up on all things DX, ham radio and other stuff so there isn't a formal program. Good food, camaraderie and meeting with each other is the focus! The BBQ is not recorded or published on Zoom or YouTube.
TICKET PRICE?      $10.00 per person
Since the amount of food prepared depends on the number of attendees, prepaid non-refundable tickets are on sale starting Friday, March 29th and ending on Saturday, April 20th. We can accommodate up to 60 attendees so buying tickets earlier rather than later is recommended. If you can't use your tickets feel free to give, sell or trade them to another CADXA member and their guests.

Pre-paid tickets may be purchased for $10.00 per attendee using 1 of 3 payment methods (no last-minute or walkins):

  • via Zelle (preferred) - by sending payment to 'treasurer@cadxa.org'
  • via PayPal - by sending payment to 'picnic@cadxa.org'. If paying through PayPal you must include an additional $1.00 transaction fee (total = $11.00 per person for PayPal tranactions). Do not send payment to any other PayPal address.
  • by mailing a check payable to 'CADXA' to our PO Box 24616; Tempe, AZ 85285-4616. Payment check(s) must be received on or by Saturday, April 20th.

Callsign, number of tickets being purchased and any food allergies or sensitivities must be included with whichever payment method is used

If anyone has questions, please send them via email to wa7nwl@gmail.com

CADXA hybrid meetings are held in-person along with online Zoom interaction. Unless otherwise noted, we meet on the first Thursday of each month starting at 7:00 p.m. Arizona time.  Before the meeting, an informal 'meet and greet' starts about 6:30 p.m.  Members, visitors, and online attendees can chat and catch up for a few minutes before the meeting.  Please join us!
In-Person/Hybrid Meetings are held at:

Bethany Lutheran Church
Zoellner Hall
4300 North 82nd Street
Scottsdale, Arizona 85251

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

CADXA is the largest ham radio DX club in Arizona with over 100 members, many of whom are on the ARRL's DXCC Honor Roll.  We have several members who have traveled to distant places to put "rare" countries on the air.  We encourage any ham interested in DXing to join our club and learn about the many aspects of talking to hams around the globe who share this amazing hobby with us.  Founded in 1974, we are an ARRL-affiliated club and a member club of the Amateur Radio Council of Arizona (ARCA).
